In an unexploded ordnance search and removal project in Datong, Shanxi Province, the detection, excavation and removal of unexploded ordnance on the surface of the 750-mu firing range and 20 cm underground were carried out. The local natural environment is hilly landform, there is no large vegetation in the detection area, and the surface of the ground is about 50 cm tall weeds.

The UAV magnetic detection system was used to scan the shooting range, confirm the coordinates of suspected points, and obtain 36 coordinates of suspected points according to data processing and analysis. Unexploded bombs and debris from 36 suspected points were excavated and cleared, 35 unexploded bombs were cleared, and the remaining suspected point was debris interference, and the detection accuracy reached 97%.
